A leading advocate for public education, Mr. Stewart holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Political Science from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Virginia State University.

 

He has been a governmental affairs consultant for the New Orleans Downtown Development District, the Capitol Area Transit System, The Handprint Group, LLC of Washington D.C., and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. He was also director of governmental affairs for Tulane University and Delgado Community College community affairs director.

 

He also serves as governmental consultant to the Orleans Parish Criminal Court.

 

A tennis enthusiast, Byron conducts clinics for youth in Baton Rouge’s BREC tennis program.
