Carolyn Marie Ponson Wooten

 

For the past 31 years Mrs. Wooten has played an increasingly larger role in the development of LSBA. A key resource in developing conferences and workshops, she provides real continuity to association efforts to provide members with the help they need in complying with school board membership requirements.

 

Mrs. Wooten holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (1972) from Knoxville College, and has continued her studies in education at Louisiana State University.

 

Prior to coming to LSBA she worked in the LSU Chancellor’s Office, and the Upward Bound Program at Dillard University in New Orleans.

 

She is a member of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, the Society of Government Meeting Planners, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
